Our ensemble of actors, trained together with Brenna Geffers, is collectively called Die-Cast. We seek a deeper collaboration in order to work towards a Total Theater dynamic. We have several avenues to lead your university students into a deeper connection with their bodies, their breath, and to each other.

Our Core Values In Training:
Devising                                     New Work Creation
Ensemble Building                                Vocal Power
Physical Flexibility                 Core Breath Training

Create New Work

We can lead your students through the process of creating new work using devised practices in order to unlock and adapt pre-existing text. Be it by re-mounting our world premiere adaptation of Anna Karenina with a mix of your students or leading them to create their own new work, our residency can result in either a studio workshop or a fully mounted production.

This "gorgeous production of Anna manages to deliver Tolstoy’s magnificent 800-page novel Anna Karenina in only two hours, with only eight actors... Geffers creates a world that is theatrical and exotic and fun" - Philadelphia Inquirer

We believe that the actor's breath is the base from which all work must grow. We can lead your students through training that incorporates Roy Hart, Attis Theatre, Grotowski, Fitzmaurice, and text work of Cicely Barry to open new possibilities in performance. We merge physical stamina with vocal power to unlock classic text. Our Hairy Ape is an example of that power, garnering praise in both Philadelphia and Cape Cod.

Train And Create

"director Brenna Geffers stripped (Hairy Ape) to its bare essentials"  -Read The New York Times Review

In 2018 we will be presenting our next world premiere that uses the doomed Fyre Fest and the eternal party of social media to explore the wild west of the online world. Take a look at Delirium, a piece developed with EgoPo and the students of Indiana University of PA, who trained with and shadowed the professional actors for two weeks to build this fever dream.

We can develop this new piece with your students, bringing them into the process of creating immersive, choose-your-own-adventure style theater.

Develop with Die-Cast

We have worked with students at University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, Indiana University of PA, and University of Scranton. Contact us for Script Samples or Training Samples in order to find the best path for your students today.
